Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Zeta Technology Services Ltd (“Zeta”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Electryo is the name of the product we operate. They apply when you use electryo.co, the Electryo iOS or Android app, the browser extension, or any inbox, messaging, or other account you connect to Electryo (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who these Terms are with

The Service is provided by Zeta Technology Services Ltd, a company in the United Kingdom. Our business address is 493 Green Lanes, Ground Floor, Unit 2, London N13 4BS, United Kingdom. Electryo is the product; Zeta is the company. “You” means the person who creates an account, and, if you use Electryo for an organisation, that organisation as well.

If you use the Service on behalf of a company, team, or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it to these Terms. Workplace inboxes and other shared accounts are your responsibility; you must have permission to connect them.

2. The Service

Electryo is a security agent for everyday life. It checks links, emails, messages, files, and QR codes for signs of phishing, fraud, malware, and similar risk, and explains what it found in plain language. Optionally, it can watch apps you connect (such as an inbox or a messaging account) and send alerts when something looks risky.

A check is an assessment based on the evidence available at the time: named findings with fixed weights, a score, a verdict, and an explanation. Electryo can miss a threat and can flag something harmless. Verdicts are not legal, financial, or professional advice.

Electryo is not an antivirus, not a firewall, not a bank, not a law-enforcement service, and not a guarantee that a message, link, or file is safe. It does not replace your own judgement, your bank’s fraud process, your email provider’s security, or the tools on your device.

We may add, change, or withdraw features, including experimental ones. We may also impose fair-use, rate, or plan limits so the Service stays available for everyone.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age required to consent to online services where you live, whichever is higher. The Service is not directed at children.

You need an account to use Electryo on the web or in the app. You may sign in with Google, Apple, or a one-time code we email you. The same account works across the website and the apps.

You must provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us immediately at security@electryo.co if you think someone else has used it.

We may refuse, suspend, or close an account if we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken, the account is used to harm others or the Service, or we are required to by law.

4. Licence to use Electryo

Subject to these Terms and your plan, Zeta grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Electryo for its intended purpose. We (and our licensors) keep all rights in the Service, including software, models, playbooks, findings catalogues, branding, and documentation.

You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or resell the Service; scrape or overload it; bypass plan or security limits; build a competing product from it; or remove proprietary notices.

5. Linked apps and inboxes

Some features require you to connect a third-party account. That connection is optional. You can disconnect it at any time from Linked accounts, which stops further access and deletes stored access tokens.

When you connect an inbox (for example Gmail or Microsoft Outlook), Electryo uses the read-only permission you grant to read new mail, check it, and keep a short preview of messages it flags. If you enable extra actions we describe in the product (for example labelling mail), those actions use only the extra permission you grant.

When you link a messaging account (for example WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Slack, Microsoft Teams, or SMS), Electryo only sees the messages you send or forward to it, unless we clearly describe a wider permission before you connect.

You confirm that you have the right to connect each account, including workplace accounts governed by your employer’s policies, and that connecting it does not break that provider’s terms. Those providers’ own terms and privacy policies also apply.

6. Your content

You keep the rights to anything you submit or that we process for you (“Your Content”), including pasted links and messages, connected-inbox mail we read, files, QR contents, chat follow-ups, display name, and profile photo.

You grant Zeta a worldwide licence to host, process, transmit, and display Your Content only as needed to run the Service: to perform checks, show you results, send alerts you asked for, operate your plan, improve detection quality, prevent abuse, and comply with law. We do not use Your Content to advertise to you or to others.

You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit Your Content and that it is not unlawful to possess or share. How long we keep it is described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable use

Use Electryo to protect yourself, your family, your team, or your customers. You must not:

  • Probe, scan, attack, or overload systems you do not own or have permission to test.
  • Use the Service to find vulnerabilities in order to exploit them, or to assist crime, fraud, or unauthorised access.
  • Submit malware, CSAM, or other content that is unlawful to possess or share.
  • Resell checks, wrap Electryo as your own product, or exceed plan limits without an agreement with us.
  • Interfere with other users, impersonate anyone, or attempt to access another person’s account.
  • Misuse sign-in, billing, or invite flows, including creating accounts to evade a ban or a plan limit.

8. Plans, payment, and cancellation

Free accounts include a limited number of checks. Paid plans (including Individual, Plus, and Team) are described on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Features, check limits, and seat counts may differ by plan.

Paid plans on electryo.co are billed through Stripe. Electryo never sees your full card number. Prices are shown before you pay and may exclude applicable taxes, which Stripe or local law may add.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel from your account on the website (or through the Stripe billing portal). The plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for. Unless the law in your country requires otherwise, fees already paid are not refunded for unused time after you cancel.

If a payment fails, we may retry the charge and may downgrade or suspend paid features until payment succeeds. Team seats, invites, and check limits follow the plan that is active on the account.

We may change prices or plan contents. For a change that affects a paid term you have already started, we will give reasonable notice. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the change takes effect.

9. App Store purchases

If you download Electryo from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple’s terms control payments, billing, and refunds for purchases made through Apple. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Electryo. Claims relating to the app may be directed to Zeta Technology Services Ltd, not Apple, except where Apple’s terms say otherwise.

If you buy a plan on electryo.co and use it in the iOS app, Stripe (not Apple) processes that payment.

10. Third-party services

Checks may call reputation and analysis providers (including Google Safe Browsing, VirusTotal, PhishTank, AlienVault OTX, and similar lists) with the link, domain, or file hash being checked. Explanations may be written by a language model (currently Google Gemini) that receives the content of the check. Hosting, authentication, email delivery, and payments use providers named in the Privacy Policy.

Those providers process data under their own terms. Electryo is not responsible for their services, outages, or changes. Links we show in a verdict are for your information; visiting them is at your own risk. A check does not open the suspicious page in your browser or your logged-in session.

11. Availability, support, and security

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, third-party outages, and events outside our control can interrupt checks, inbox watching, or alerts.

You are responsible for the devices, networks, and accounts you use with Electryo. Report vulnerabilities to security@electryo.co and abuse to abuse@electryo.co. Do not publicly disclose a vulnerability until we have had a reasonable chance to fix it.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account from Settings at any time. Deletion removes your chats, checks, linked apps, and sign-in record as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you break these Terms, if we must do so by law, or if continuing would put the Service or other people at serious risk. Where reasonably practical we will tell you. Provisions that should survive (including licences already used to run a check, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) remain in effect.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, Zeta disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that checks will be complete, accurate, or timely.

You decide what to do with a verdict. Zeta is not liable for money you send, credentials you enter, or access you grant after seeing — or not seeing — a result.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Zeta and its officers, employees, and suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of data, business, or goodwill, even if we were told they were possible.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for claims arising out of the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or £100 if you have not paid us in that period.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory rights of your country of residence.

15. Indemnity

You will indemnify Zeta Technology Services Ltd against claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from Your Content, your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, or your connecting an account you did not have the right to connect, except to the extent we caused the harm.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. For a change that materially reduces your rights, we will give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect, unless the law requires us to act sooner.

If you continue to use the Service after the effective date, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence.

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, you may use alternative dispute resolution where the law requires it. If you are a consumer in the EEA, you may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform. We are not obliged to use alternative dispute resolution unless the law requires it.

18. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Zeta Technology Services Ltd for the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganisation or sale of the Service. There are no third-party beneficiaries except as stated for Apple in section 9.

The English version of these Terms prevails over any translation.
